Jean (Landreth) Vandeventer, 88, passed away, early Sunday, October 25th, in her home surrounded by her family after a brave battle from a long illness.
She was born October 31, 1926 and dedicated her life to her kids and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Jack Vandeventer, her parents; Virgil and Ann Landreth, and a sister; Jodie Hunt.
She is survived by her sister; Billie Luna of Springfield, her children: two sons and a daughter; Jerry and Kathy Vandeventer of Republic, Jo Ann Sparkman of Clever, Jon and Diana Vandeventer of Taneyville, and her grandchildren; Alaina(Sparkman) and Richard Gray of Springfield, Stephanie Sparkman and Desmond Jackson of Springfield, Trina(Vandeventer) and Josh Stevens of Aurora, Tyler and Heather Vandeventer of Taneyville, Nicole(Vandeventer) and Dallas Ross of Hawaii, and her youngest grandson Trevor Vandeventer. She also had numerous grand puppies that she not so secretly adored. There will be an opportunity to celebrate Jeans homecoming at her home in Republic on Tuesday Oct, 27th from 6-8pm. There will also be a private graveside memorial service.
