Jerry Lee McIntire, was born February 3, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life January 18, 2021 in Springfield Missouri.
He was saved as a young boy in Kansas City. He was a veteran of the Navy. He served in the Viet Nam War on the ships USS St. Paul and USS Buchanan. Most of his life he was an over the road truck driver. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed his cows and his farm. You could find him sitting on the porch or under a shade tree watching his cows and reading his Bible. He enjoyed going to church.
He is preceeded in death by his mother, Dorthy McIntire, father, James McIntire, and mother-in-law Elizabeth Dillard.
He is survived by his wife Rosie McIntire, son, Michael McIntire and granddaughters Kenna and Mikalyn McIntire, daughter Amanda Spears, son-in-law Billy Spears, and grand children Jaykob, Justice, and Justyne Spears, daughter Judy Dosher, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, brother, Charlie McIntire, sister-in-law Nita McIntire, and brother, Jimmy McIntire.
Visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2021, 8:30-9:30am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Following, there will be a private family graveside service at 10:00am at Missouri Veterans Cemetery where Jerry will be laid to rest with full military honors.
