Jerry Lee McGeeHee, 75, Springfield, MO. passed away November 22, 2020, at Maranatha Lodge, Springfield, MO. after a long illness. Jerry was born in Dade County, MO. on May 22, 1945. He retired from the Greene County, MO. Sheriff’s department after 25 years as a detective. He was a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine.
Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Alyssa. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Lou McGeeHee, his son, Scott McGeeHee and his wife Anita, of Tennessee, step-daughter, Marsha Hammond of Florida, six grand-daughters, three grandsons, four great-grandchildren, his mother: Hazel Purdy, of Greenfield, MO. and his brother and sister-in-law: Richard and Beverly Purdy, of Mt.Vernon, MO.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2020, at Greenwood Cemetery, in Bolivar, MO. No visitation is planned. Due to the recent Covide 19 regulations, the family suggests facial masks be worn and to practice social distancing at the services.
