Jessie H. (Stokes ) Faught , age 96, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, October 15th, 2019 in her home with her loving family by her side.

Jessie was born February 24, 1923 in Marshfield, Missouri to Philip and Ina Stokes. Jessie accepted the Lord and was baptized in Marshfield, Missouri at a young age. She was a graduate of Marshfield High School. Jessie was united in marriage to James Faught on January 22, 1949, in Springfield, Missouri. She loved to work in her flower garden and mow her yard. Family was the most important part of her life, she loved to cook big Sunday breakfasts, even after the children were grown and married, she loved to celebrate the holidays with her family. One of her best memories was celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary.

Survivors include her loving children, Gene Faught, Bonnie Newlon and husband Jerry, Janice Banker and husband Rick, Steve Faught and wife Donna, Vicki Green and husband Harold, and Patricia Johnson; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great- grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Jessie was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Faught; grandson, Jerry (Phud) Newlon II; great-grandson, James Landon McKnight; daughter-in-law, Martha Faught; parents, Philip and Ina Stokes; 10 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Friday, October 18, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. A celebration of Jessie's life will be held Saturday, October 19th, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South 441 West Battlefield Springfield, Missouri, with burial to follow at Payne Cemetery, Nixa, Missouri.
