Jimmy Lee Arthur, 90, passed away in Springfield, Missouri on August 31, 2020. He was born in Springfield on May 21, 1930. Jim was the 9th child to Oscar and Myrtle (Twyman) Arthur. He was in the Korean War and served on the USS Hopi and the USS Spangler. Jim was a Real Estate agent and lived in Springfield his whole life. He was a life long member of High Street Baptist Church and was saved at the old High Street on North Prospect Ave.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his eight siblings, a son, Kelly and his wife, LaWanda (Alberta) Arthur. Jim is survived by his daughter, Elaine and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Maples Health and Rehabilitation Center and Dr Zubair for the excellent care and treating my dad like family.
Service will be on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 1:00 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. There will be a private burial In Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Due to Covid 19 we are people to wear masks and social distance.
