John Arthur Williams, 86, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was born on November 15, 1934, to Clifford and Velma Williams in Crocker, Missouri. He graduated from Crocker High School in 1952. John married the love of his life, Beverly Schaffer on June 23, 1956.
John was the longtime owner of Dick’s Machine Shop in Springfield. He was a member of the Ozark Area Racers Hall of Fame. He owned stock cars for over 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Daryl; his grandson, Jayson; his brothers, Joe and James; and his sister, Mary-Ann. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beverly Williams; his sons: Dave Williams (Brenda) and Dan Williams (Kathy); daughter-in-law, Patty Williams; his sister, Charlotte; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
