John H. Masten 53, Springfield, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2015 at 3:14 a.m. surrounded by his family. He was born December 25, 1961 to Earl Cleveland Masten and Betty Jean Pettigrew Masten in Humansville, MO.
John married Lisa Ann Masten on July 28, 1984. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. John loved to cook homemade pies and play board games with his family. John was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Lisa, his children: John Derrick Masten of Springfield, MO; Sean Lucas Masten (Carrie) of Springfield, MO; Brittany Nicole Masten of Springfield, MO. and Dana Lynn Marie Hutchinson, of Springfield, MO. John is also survived by ten grandchildren; Tara Rene Masten; Brooklyn Jade Masten; Harley Dawn Masten; Zachary Alexander Masten; Gracy Ann Masten; Daniel Lee Allen; Kash Michael Masten; Jayden Michael Hutchinson; Jacob Daniel Agee; and Nolan Williams Huff all of Springfield,MO. and John Austin Pendergrass, one of his sons and “Bestest Buddy”.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
