John Wesley Blazer, Jr., 66 years old, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on July 15, 2019. He was born on August 14, 1952 in Wayne County, Missouri to John Wesley Blazer, Sr. and Joann Elizabeth Strandgard (Pettit).
After Wesley graduated from Bolivar High School in the class of 1970, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for seven years during the Vietnam Conflict Era.
Upon his return, Wesley sold parts for recreational vehicles for 30 years before retiring in December of 2018.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, uncles & aunts, sister in law, Debra Blazer, and brother in law, Tim Winfrey.
Wesley is survived by his brothers, Larry Blazer of Bolivar, Missouri; Tom Blazer and wife Nancy of Bolivar, Missouri; Mike Blazer and wife Crissy of Kentucky; Sisters, Rebecca Winfrey of Monett, Missouri; Mary and Robert Foster of Springfield, Missouri; Susan and Jim Schudy of Kirbyville, Missouri, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for John Wesley Blazer will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri on Wednesday, August 7, at 11:00 AM, with full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
