Johnnie Jean Gould, age 83, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on November 11, 2020 at Mercy Hospital.
Johnnie was born on March 7, 1937 in El Paso, Arkansas to parents Luther and Cloutis Perry. Johnnie worked as a food service coordinator in the Tulare District Hospital. In 1990 she retired from that position after 20 years of service. Johnnie was a member of Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing at senior citizen dances, playing board and card games with her family and friends, gardening, and traveling any chance she could.
Johnnie is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Cloutis Perry, her spouse Roy Leon Gould, daughter Glenda Erickson, two sisters; Bobbie Perry and Shirley Polanec, and her brother Jim Perry. She is survived by her son Steve and wife Sandy Thompson, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers; Monty and wife Shirley Perry and Tommy Perry, two sisters Donna Simmonds and Diane Grinols, her significant other Richard Hedgpeth, and a host of other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held for Johnnie in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
