Josephine Mae Cannefax, age 84, of Fair Grove, Missouri, passed away November 28, 2020. She was born to Bennie and Ethel Smith on October 20,1936. She graduated from Fair Grove High School and continued on with some college. She was united in marriage to Jackie O. Cannefax on October 19, 1958, at the First Baptist Church of Fair Grove. Her occupation was homemaker where, “She was everything!”. She was amember of High Prairie Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.
She loved her Fair Grove Community and country, and working the voting polls up to her last year. Her interests and passions including watching her grandkids, the St. Louis and Springfield Cardinals, the KC Chiefs, any Fair Grove Eagles Team, and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Ethel Smith; husband, Jackie O. Cannefax; granddaughter, Tara R. Bass; sisters, Juanita Branam and Louise Lovan; and brothers, Donald Smith and Jim Smith. She is survived by her children, Beth Mawhiney (Gary), Tom Cannefax (Angela), and Cindy Cannefax; grandchildren, Angela (Barry), Matt (Ashley), Michelle (Mike), Maggie (Kevin), Sarah (David), and Nathan (MiKayla); 9 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Virginia Cannefax, Carolyn Smith, and Ila Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives.
There will be a visitation will at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Friday, December 4, 5:00-7:00. There will be a private service for the family.
