Joy (Pengov) Papcun age 79 , of Springfield, formerly Irvine, California passed away Sunday, April 11th, 2021 at Township Assisted Living Facility.
Joy was born June 11, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward and Pauline Pengov. Joy had a passion for all animals, especially cats and recently retired from her Happy Cats Foundation, which she founded in the mid 1990’s. She dedicated her senior years to providing loving and safe homes for countless displaced cats. She loved the arts, literature, and music. A former model, her presence lit up any room.
Survivors include her two sons Todd Papcun and Eric Papcun; one daughter Kim Archer; four grandchildren, Dyanna, Sean, Elivia, and Tillman. Her brother. Chris and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Pauline Pengov; two sisters, Kathy Hindle and Patsy Pengov; and two brothers, Jim Pengov and Edward Pengov Jr.
