Joy Jean Hastings (Dipley) was born October 19th, 1930, received in Heaven on September 19, 2020.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter and her loving husband Walter. Joy is survived by her sons David, Randy and his wife (Cathe), Guy and wife (April), daughter Cindy and husband (Steve), 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She graduated from Webb City High School in 1948. As a military wife, Joy lived in many places with her family, finally settling in Springfield in 1957. She was a member of Galloway Baptist Church and devoted Sunday School Teacher. Joy was a woman of great faith, who whole-heartedly believed in the power of prayer. She shared her love of Jesus by mentoring and teaching children and women though all stages of life.

She married Walter E. Hastings on June 12, 1950 and through the good times and the rough times he was the love of her life. They are now and forever rejoicing together with the Lord.

Joy loved her family completely. She was a supportive mother, loving grandmother, and avid collector of teapots and bells. She will be missed on this earth by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 12:00-1:00 pm at Greenlawn East. Joy will be buried at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
