Joy Kathryn Shelburn passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior in the presence of her family on December 26, 2015 after a short illness. She was born to Graden and Lydia Sullivan on March 29, 1935 in Sharp County Arkansas.
Joy married Donald Bert Shelburn on February 2, 1952 and they were blessed with three daughters; Ramona Gail, Julie Dawn and Shyla Beth.
Joy loved to garden and in earlier years had a yard full of every kind of flower you can imagine. She loved birdwatching and spent many days watching the birds at their feeder and was always looking for that first hummingbird of the season. The outdoors was truly her place of solitude.
Joy is preceded in death by her parents Graden and Lydia Sullivan; her husband Donald Bert Shelburn and her daughter Ramona Gail Shelburn. She is survived by two daughters; Julie Shelburn Dibben; Shyla Nunes (Randy); a grandson Dalem Joshua Willoughby; a brother Jim Sullivan (Coleen); and sister Charlotte Herndon. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Funeral services for Joy will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
