Juanita Graham-King, 101 years of age, passed from this life on June 9, 2022 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born April 5, 1921 in Antlers, Oklahoma to James E. and Zona Mae Ford.
Juanita married Wayne Graham on July 17, 1942 in Springfield, Missouri, and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage together until his passing on April 16, 1984. In 1995 Juanita married Harland King and they enjoyed 14 years of marriage together until his passing in 2009. Juanita lived by herself until 2016 when she was diagnosed with late onset Alzheimers and moved into Lakewood Assisted Living in Springfield, Missouri.
Juanita enjoyed ceramics and flower arranging and over the years she spent a lot of time teaching her craft to others.
She was a devout Christian, being saved at the age of 12 at Hamlin Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri for over 70 years.
Besides her two husbands, Juanita was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lura Seamster and Lois Price, her brother, James E. Ford Jr. and daughter, Linda Daughtrey.
She is survived by her son, Larry Graham and wife Janice, three grandchildren, Tracie Radtke, Seth Daughtrey and Jenna Presley, great-grandchildren, Graham Radtke and Clara Radtke. She is also survived by Harland King’s two daughters, Marilyn and Sharon and their families.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 14, 2022, 10:30-11:30am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. A graveside service will follow in Springfield National Cemetery at 12:00pm.
