We would like to take this opportunity to let Judy’s health insurance company know that she is no longer needing to file any claims. She reached her out-of-pocket maximum and was very thankful for the excellent care she received in her many health battles over her long life. Her last health expense occurred on September 21, 2019 at the age of 77.
Judy did not let her constant and diverse health challenges effect the quality of her life. She loved her family, her practical joking husband, Randy Williams, who preceded her in death, and most of all, her grandchildren and great-grandchild, some of which had a habit of coming in identical pairs.
Some other favorite things included: shopping, mani-pedis, shoes, decorations for every season and some in-between seasons, Holidays, HGTV and Hallmark channels, Casino slots, puzzle books, and most of all tape. All kinds of tape, duck tape, scotch tape, double-sided tape, and most interestingly, correction tape to modify errors in the puzzle books or forms in the doctor’s office that needed correction.
She was an Accountant by trade and retired from Keypointe Transcore. Everything balanced, placed neatly in its proper columns. Just like her home. Super organized. Folded Walmart bags with precision. Now, don’t think she was extreme. She was just the most skilled organizer ever. Ever thing had a place, a container, and a label. Hard to misplace anything around Judy.
Some things Judy didn’t particularly care for, however, included: cooking, vegetables, the sound of people playing that dice game “Yahtzee”, surviving cancer four times, and having surgery for a bad spleen after her daughter bragged that mom had “no spare parts” left.
Judy ran the NSRA Street Rod Nationals Women’s World craft show for 23 years. She toured around the booths in her modified mobility scooter and achieved high speeds. She ran one of the most successful shows in the nation. Her organization skills made sure a wide variety of products were available and located in the most optimal place. She loved some of her longtime vendor’s like they were family.
She was the daughter of Lee E and Missouri Ann Wakefield, both preceded her in death. Her spirit lives on with her two daughters: Jennifer (Tony) Gruener of Rogersville, Mo, grandsons Evan Gruener of Chicago, IL, and twins Ryan Gruener and Shane Gruener. Daughter Jana Worth, granddaughters Ashton Worth, Tulsa Oklahoma and twins Autumn Worth and Kaylan Worth. One great-granddaughter Lakota Missouri Ann Worth. One sister, Victoria (Harold) Belcher, Rogers, AR, and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation for Judy will be 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with services following at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery.
