Kitty was born in Springfield, Missouri, on November 16th, 1959. She peacefully passed away in her home on February 12th, 2021, surrounded by those who love her.
She grew up in Springfield, Missouri, attended Kickapoo High school, and graduated from Drury University in 1981. Kitty was a Methodist. She was a member of First United Methodist in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, for many years. After graduating from Drury, Kitty worked as a high school teacher. She taught English and French for 4 years. She then proceeded to work for State Farm insurance claims. With State Farm, she worked in Springfield, San Diego, Kansas City, and finally Tulsa.
In Tulsa, where she met her husband, Tim Goodpasture, and had the two loves of her life, her children, she worked for Advanced Microbial Services. She moved back to Springfield in November of 2018, where she re-established her home. After moving to Springfield, she began working at Paul Mueller in the accounting department. Kitty loved family gatherings. She never missed one of her kids’ school or sports activities. Kitty was also the honorary mom for many of her kid’s friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Meacheam, and her brother, Jeffery Meacheam. She will be greatly missed by her two children, Haely Goodpasture, and William Goodpasture. Her mother, Betty Meacheam. Her sister and brother-in-law, Terrea Fann and Brad Fann. Her nieces and nephew, Amanda Wehner and family, Katie Conner and family, and Ashlen Meacheam and family. She is also survived by aunts and uncle Mary Hays, Faye Barrett, Wanda Meacheam, Lloyd Meacheam, Jerry White, and Dee White. And many cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Springfield, Missouri. On March 6th at 11:00 am. Per Kitty’s request, please wear bright colors or something that reminds you of her if planning to attend. Honorary Paul Bearers will be her second sons: Daylan Durham, Trey Bilby, Danny Glenn, Alexander Ogunseye, Zach Witzansky, Kemper Hearon, Dae Williams, Mason Reese, and Trevin Inks.
