Keith Allen Blake passed from this life into the presence of his Lord on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the age of 74 while surrounded by his family. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Keith was born in Walnut Grove, Missouri to Warren and Mary Jane Blake on August 18, 1946. He was a graduate of Willard High School and Baptist Bible College. He married his sweetheart, Nancy Greer, on June 4, 1965 and they shared 55 loving years together.
At 18 years of age he surrendered his life to preach the Gospel and began what would be more than 56 years of ministry, serving and sharing the message of the cross that had so radically changed his life. He devoted his entire adult life to ministry, preaching and singing as a pastor, evangelist and author. Together with his wife Nancy, they ministered all across the U.S. touching the lives of countless people, as well as in Mexico and Canada.
Enormously loved by his family and friends, he was possibly most known for his generous humor and quick smile. He possessed a “no nonsense” perspective and was always ready with an anecdote or advice, yet he was also a visionary, a planner and master storyteller. If ever he met a stranger, he seemed completely unaware of it.
He loved talking about his family, and all too often our stories found their way into his sermons. He was frustratingly stubborn at times, but loved us all with a passion that has been foundational in each of our lives. With all the sacrifice and dedication that he gave to ministry, it never came at the expense of his family. We were never a second thought. We were always the priority. He was a strong and incredibly beautiful man who lived an extraordinary life. He will live on in our hearts and forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Keith leaves behind his wife, Nancy, son Paul and his wife, Loretta (MO), and daughter Dixie Trahan and her husband, Kenneth (FL). His grandchildren: Josh Trahan and his wife, Nikki (KY), Hannah Dallalio and her husband, Jordan (TX), Alyssa Blake (MO), Ryan Trahan and his wife, Brittani (CA), Audrey Jarvis and her husband, Matthew (TX), Hope Fields and her husband, Jordan (FL), Preston Blake and his wife, Madi (MO), and Benjamin Blake (MO). His great-grandchildren: Hadley Trahan, Harper Trahan, Lucas Fields, Ollie Jarvis, Jeremiah Trahan, and Mia Fields. His parents, Warren & Mary Jane Blake; his sister Patty Burr and her husband, Ray. He is preceded in death by his brother, David Blake.
A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, next to Rose Hill Baptist Church north of Willard, Missouri at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 16, 2020.
