Kendra JaMae Helton, 28, died unexpectedly November 30, 2018 in Springfield, Missouri. Kendra was born April 22, 1990 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and graduated from Morris High School (Morris, OK) in 2008. She moved to Missouri and received an Associates of Arts Degree from Ozark Technical Community College in 2015.
Kendra loved reading and all types of music. Recognized for her striking beauty, she was a professional model featured on several book covers and as a spokesmodel for an international perfume line. Kendra’s greatest accomplishment was her two greatest loves: her boys, Braxton (9) and Gatlin (7). She absolutely loved being a mother and adored her sons.
She is preceded in death by her PaPa Speedy Reynolds (Tulsa, OK).
Kendra is survived by her sons, Braxton and Gatlin Malcom of Ozark, MO; parents, Debbie and David Umfleet of Ozark, MO; brother, Dusty Trail of Tulsa, OK; nana, Beverly Pohl (James) of Tulsa, OK; grandmother, Judy Umfleet of Olney, IL; father, Greg Helton, Shawnee, OK; grandparents, Jack and Coetta Helton of Shawnee, OK; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends, all deeply saddened by her passing.
Services honoring the life of Kendra Helton will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 3:00 in the afternoon at Life.Church Springfield (1655 W. Republic Rd), under the direction of Greenlawn South. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to www.gofundme.com/kendrahelton to help provide aftercare for her children.
