Kenneth D. Morland, 88, husband of Ethel Popejoy Morland, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home in Strafford, MO following a brain tumor diagnosis.
Born October 18, 1930 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Floyd and Pearl Morland.
Kenneth D. Morland grew up in Freedom, Oklahoma before joining the Navy at the age of seventeen. Upon leaving the navy, he joined the Army retiring in 1969 after 20 plus years of service. After his military retirement, he worked for the United States Postal Service retiring after 20 years. During his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, watching sports, talking to his dog, Pico, and old westerns.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; 3 children, son Randy and wife Nora of Marshfield, MO, daughter Teresa and husband Garland of Ozark, MO, son Kenneth Jr and wife Karen of Strafford, MO; 2 granddaughters, April and husband Sean of Collins, MO, and Morgan of Houston, TX; 3 great-grandsons, Coby and wife Maddie of Fair Grove, MO, Brent of Marshfield, MO, Sam of Collins, MO; 2 great-great grandchildren Faye and Braxton. He is also survived by his sister Coeta of Owasso, Oklahoma and brother Floyd of Kingman, AZ; daughter/niece Kimberley and 9 other nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Gerald, Richard, and Max.

Visitation is 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 at the funeral home with burial at Missouri Veterans Cemetery following the service.
