Kenneth Lake Sr., 86, Springfield, Mo., passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009, in St. John’s Hospital. He was born January 19, 1923. Kenneth Lake Sr., 86, Springfield, Mo., passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009, in St. John’s Hospital. He was born January 19, 1923. Kenneth served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was married to Dorothy on October 17, 1942, and they just celebrated their 67th anniversary. He was a faithful member of Berean Baptist Church since 1977. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three children; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and many relatives and close friends. A memorial service will be held in Berean Baptist Church, 507 E. North, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Burial will be in Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home North from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009.
