Kenneth Roscoe Dean, age 76, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009, in St. John’s Medical Center. He was born February 26, 1933, in Greene County, Mo., to Roscoe Conklin Dean and Ines (Yates) Dean. He was a 1951 graduate of Republic High School. He was a member of Graceway Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Peggy Barnett on November 21, 1954 in Springfield, Mo. His parents; wife, Peggy Marie Dean; two sisters, Juanita and Patsy preceded him in death. He is survived a son, Michael Dean and wife, Barbara of Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Connie Gunn of Miami Beach, Fla.; a son, Wesley Dean and wife, Joanne of Plymouth, Mich.; five grandchildren, Elise Dean, Bethany Dean, Mandell Gunn, Angel Gunn, Damien Gunn; one great-grandson, Jazz Gunn. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with Rev. Robert Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009, 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Family suggest memorial donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
