Kenneth Z Strain, 86, Springfield, MO. passed away November 28, 2023, after a short illness. He was born on June 22, 1937, in Alton, MO. to Perry and Rachel (Cockman) Strain. Kenneth was a retired truck driver for Consumers Markets. He attended the Faith Assembly of God Church. He loved to fix and build things, work on cars, but mostly he loved to play with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Kenneth never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. He was funny, silly and tenderhearted.
On December 20, 1957, Kenneth was united in marriage to Wilda Jean McDaniel at the First Pentecostal Church of God in Springfield, MO. She preceded him in death on September 30, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his parents: Perry and Rachel Strain, and his only sibling, his sister, Charlene Ford. Kenneth is survived by his three
children and their spouses: Dianna and Larry Greene, Teresa and Bruce Royce, and Randy and Kathy Strain, seven grandchildren: Jayme Johnson, Amelia Long, Justin Greene, Derek Royce, Miranda Oatman, Savannah Chavez ,and Samuel Strain, ten great-grandchildren: Eisley & Calvin Greene, Mya and Dominic Long, Scarlett, Sophia and Isabelle Johnson, Eliana, Emmalyn, and Annabelle Oatman, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. before services, at the funeral home.
