Kent Willmsen Cochran, 69, Republic, MO. passed away Friday, December 20, 2019. Kent was born in Smithville, MO. on January 23, 1950, to James and Evelyn (Willmsen) Cochran. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Republic, MO., and was a trustee at Midwestern Baptist Seminary and Missouri Baptist Seminary, He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran. He was a Federal Express employee. He enjoyed his church activities and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. He was a faithful friend to many, and Kent was a hard working and loving father and proud, Pa Pa, who loved his grandkids. He loved working on his farm and serving others when he could. He was also a tissue donor upon his death.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Keri Peterson and her husband, I'van, three grandchildren: Izaiah Peterson, Kegan Peterson and Railyn Peterson, his aunt and uncle: Shirley and Harry Baldwin, along with several cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Thursday January 2, 2020, at Calvary Baptist Church, Republic, MO. Visitation will be one hour before services, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial with Military Rites will be at 2:00 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
