Lois Morrow, age 96, of Springfield, MO passed away on Oct 5, 2015 at Jordan Creek Nursing and Rehab. Lois was born in Riverton, NE but her family moved to Missouri when she was 17 years old. She taught school for 35 years, starting in 1943. Originally Lois taught in one-room school houses, but eventually taught for the Springfield Public School System, until her retirement. She was a Sunday School Teacher and member of Grace United Methodist Church for 36 years. Currently was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands: Eurit Laney, Frank T. Redd and Harold Morrow; brother Frank Minnick; grandson Larry G. Laney Jr. Survivors include her son Larry G. Laney Sr. and wife Evelyn; granddaughter Sandra K. Brower and husband Kevin; sister Leta Norton; plus 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Wednesday Oct. 7, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and a 1:00 pm funeral service on Thursday. All services will held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Republic. Online condolences may be made at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com
