Ladena Fern Thumann of Ozark Missouri passed away on February 10, 2019. She was born on April 23, 1925 in Arrington, Kansas to Eber and Christina Denney. She grew up on a farm and loved the outdoors. She moved to Kansas City, where she worked at North American during World War II. She later moved to Los Angeles, California where she worked as a Technical Typist from which she retired to help her husband develop an orange and avocado grove in Valley Center. It was hard work but an enjoyable time in the country. When the work got to be too much, they retired to the Ozarks. She was a member of North Nixa Baptist Church. She was active in church work in her younger years but unable to continue due to health problems. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Robert Thumann, her parents Eber and Christena Denney, and her sisters Goldie, Leola, and Lottie. She is survived by her cousins Michelle Tuten and Nicole Schubert and their families along with other family and friends.
