Larry Allen Rigg, age 68, died on April 21, 2020, at his home in Fair Grove, Missouri, after an extended illness. An only child, he was born on October 3, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri, to Roy Genar and Teresa (Highfill) Rigg. He was a 1969 graduate of Hillcrest High School. After high school, Larry attended Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Springfield.
He was married to Judith “Judy” Ann Street on January 15, 1981, in Miami, Oklahoma. They moved to the Kansas City area several years later, and Larry also attended Wright Business School. He was employed with Variform, a residential siding company, in Liberty, Missouri, before his retirement. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his wife, Judy; four children, Dawn (Rigg) Huey and son-in-law David Huey, Melissa (Rigg) Smith, Gerald Downey, and Dallas Rigg and daughter-in-law Starla (Cooke) Rigg; two step-daughters, Vannessa Downey and Kimbre (Downey) Manning; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
