Lesleigh Ann Horton, age 69, went to be with the Lord on June 18th, 2020, in Springfield, Missouri.
Lesleigh is survived by her husband Del Horton, daughter Wendi and Husband Craig Welch, granddaughters Paije and husband Thomas O’Connor, Tayler and husband Adam Havens. great grandchildren Norah and Jax Havens, her sisters Connie Bruns, Marlene and husband Jim Shipp, Mary and husband Danny Bob Anderson, Tracy Dedmon, brothers Lyn and wife Debbie Bruns, and Randy Bruns, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Ardell and Alice Bruns, sisters Carol and Robin Bruns, and niece Bobbie Rae Anderson.
Lesleigh Horton was born on December 3rd, 1950 in Carroll, Iowa to parents Ardell and Alice Bruns. In 1988, she moved to Springfield, Missouri and later retired from the City of Springfield where she worked for more than 25 years.
Lesleigh was a loving mother and cherished her family, especially her only daughter, who she talked to daily and was her best friend. She was married to Del Horton on September 10th, 1994 in Republic, Missouri. Lesleigh loved to travel and spend time with her sisters, read, watch movies, plan game nights, and enjoyed time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. After retirement Lesleigh and Del traveled the world, seeing many countries and islands. Most of all, she loved just spending time with him because he always made her smile. Her family and friends will always remember her as the glue that kept everyone together, a mother to all, and always over prepared. Each time you were around her, your day got a little brighter. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A private family service is scheduled for Friday, June 26th. It will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South (on Battlefield).
