It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Lee “Tub” Boyd, who left us on February 21, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on November 9, 1942, in Bolivar, MO, to Lawrence L.  and Willa “June” (Stewart) Boyd.  Tub lived a life devoted to family and friends. Tub worked as a dairy farmer and was known throughout the country for his expertise as a Holstein classifier and dairy farming in general.  He was a true son of the soil, spending his days nurturing the land and raising livestock—traits he embraced wholeheartedly.

Tub is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Noel Boyd.

Tub was surrounded by the love of his family throughout his life. He is survived by his brother, Larry Boyd (Shawna); sister, Barbara Austin (Bill); four nephews: Ken Austin (Ceci), Tim Austin (Sarah), Cole Boyd, and Blake Boyd (Morgan); five great nieces and nephews; a sister in-law Rita Boyd; as well as many other relatives and friends.  Tub’s warm heart and kind spirit touched everyone who knew him, and he will be profoundly missed.

Tub’s vast legacy will be honored with a Funeral Service at Pitts Chapel on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 1:30 PM, with a Visitation starting at 12:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance at the funeral home. Immediately after the service, interment will take place at Pleasant Hope Cemetery. Additionally, friends and family may come by and pay your respect anytime Wednesday, February 26^th, from 12:00 noon until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
