Lloyd Walker 95, Strafford, Mo. passed away June 14, 2019, at Maranatha Manor. He was born in Chadwick , Mo. on January1, 1924, to Walter Joseph and Mary Emma Delina (Henslee) Walker. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Strafford, Mo. where he was a Church Deacon for 36 years, and Sunday School Superintendent for 40 years. He also was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and helped build the new Sancuary, when the church moved into town, and he was also the youth leader in his younger years. He was retired from Lily Tulip Company. Lloyd was also a proud U.S. Army veteran of W.W.II and he also got to be part of the Honor Flight. He was also a past member of the V.F.W.
Lloyd was preceded in death by parents, two sisters: Hester Smith and Myrtle Walker, and two brothers: Floyd and Glen Walker. He is survived by his wife, Annetta Jean Walker, one daughter and her husband: Linda and Ronald Michael, and one son and his wife: Jerry and Renita Jean Walker, along with several grandchildren step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers: Lens Walker and and his wife Martha, Joe Walker and his wife, Carolina, and Archie Walker and his wife, Betty.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Dishman Cemetery. Visitattion willl be an hour before services from noon to 1:00 p.m.
