Lois V. Sharp age 90, of Springfield, MO. passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020, after having a stroke. She was born on April 4, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, to Ira Dell Ivy and Delcie (Wilson) Ivy. Lois was a secretary for Socony Mobile Oil Company. She was also a homemaker and helped her husband for many years doing the work of her Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. She and her husband, Phillip L. Sharp, served as Missionaries to the Philippines. During her lifetime, Phillip and Lois pastored seven churches, two of which were in the Philippines. They also taught at two Bible Colleges, here in the United States. Lois was a 20 year member of Praise Assembly of God Church, here in Springfield, MO.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Phillip Sharp, a Korean War Veteran, and her two sons: Phillip Mark Sharp, of Wilmington, N.C. and Stephen Paul Sharp, of Springfield, MO. and a grand daughter: Amanda K. Sharp.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at Praise Assembly of God Church, 3635 North Glenstone Avenue, on Friday, July 31st. Funeral services will be held immediately after, at 11 a.m. with the burial to follow, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
