Lisa Gifford left a message on September 21, 2019:
Our families lived so far apart, but chance gave us an opportunity to meet. If memory serves me right, it was the summer of 2006 when my oldest sister and I flew into Springfield, MO. This was where we began a road trip across several states. We spent time visiting the town of Springfield where our mother, Lorean's sister Alean, grew up with her parents and 7 siblings. We visited Greenlawn Cemetary, and paid our respects to family members long gone. We visited the oh so small home, where Lorean's large family lived through the depression and WWII... some pretty tough times! It was on this visit to Springfield that we took a chance, reached out, and reconnected with our Aunt Lorean. She graciously welcomed us to her home for a visit and after spending several hours sharing stories , we went to lunch along with her and her daughter, Susan. I'm so very thankful Aunt Lorean opened the door and invited us into her home and into her life. What a blessing it was to have had the opportunity to be reunited with our aunt and her family. With deepest sympathy, Lisa Gifford
