Lucilia Jayne Kirk 88, Springfield, MO. went to her Heavenly Home, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 after a long illness. She was born on July 20, 1932, in Dallas Texas, to Fredrick and Mildred (Timberlake) Alaniz. Lucilia loved her family and loved her Lord and Savior. Her main focus in life was to tell everyone she met about Jesus. For over 19 years she and her husband, Rev. Mel Kirk served as missionaries in Haiti, for the Bible Baptist Church. She also served as a pastors wife for 20 years, in Anderson, Indiana. At the time of her death she was a member of South Side Baptist Church.

Lucilia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. Mel Kirk, her son, Mel Robert Kirk and her three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her two daughters: Colleen Loseke and her husband, Doug, Juanita Wolff and her husband, Tony, her son, Marvin Kirk and his wife, Cindy, eight grandchildren: Kristi, Melvin, Randy, Valerie, Nicki, Michelle, April, and Jessica, sixteen great-grandchildren, and three sisters: Nancy, Cheva, and Millie.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. No visitation or burial is planned, Memorial Donations may be made to Jacob’s Ladder.
