She was born October 3, 1932, in Fair Grove, MO, to Clarence and Elvena (Dulin) Lawson. She was a member of the Peace Chapel Assembly Of God Church. She was a public school teacher in home economics and art for over three decades. She loved gardening and oil painting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands; William G. Elliston and Delbert E. Smith and her sister Eileen Morris. She is survived by her children; Jill Elliston, Nixa, MO, Jack W. Elliston, Springfield, MO. Janna G. Elliston, Republic, MO. Jeff Elliston, and his wife Hiromi, Fair Grove, MO, six grandchildren and her siblings; Marietta Alford, Fair Grove, MO, Lela Jacques, Springfield, MO, Dale Lawson, Ava, MO, Nancy Gibson, Blue Eye, MO, and Tom Lawson, Springfield, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO. Burial will follow in Mt.
