Margo (Elliott) Cook went to be with her Lord, November 7, 2014, at Cox South Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born to missionary parents, Leon and Almeda Elliott, in India on September 14, 1940. Upon returning to the States, she attended college at Southwestern in Waxahacie, Texas, Central Bible College and Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri. She had two daughters with her first husband Doug Christensen, Cheryl Christensen-Falkner (husband Tim) and Shari Christensen. She was known as “YaYa” to her five grandchildren, Grayson 19, Madison 18 Christian 17, Nathan 6, and Alexander 3. Throughout her life she worked in a variety of jobs, including airline hostess, serving in the Revivaltime Radio offices, Heritage USA, and the offices of Springfield Public Schools. She enjoyed retirement with her second husband, Doyle Cook, who preceded her in death. They traveled together working in the Assemblies of God Home Missions projects through the RV MAPS program. In her final years, the things she enjoyed most were her gardening, taking care of her plants, watching the birds at her feeders, and especially the times spent with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be at Greenlawn North Funeral Home on Sunday, November 9, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn North, with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
