Dear Christie and Carla and families- I worked with Kay at the baseball camp. We became best of friends and your Mom and I saw each other A lot through the years. She had told me the week before her death when we were together that she wanted the 2 of us to take a vacation to Colorado next summer. Now she's in a more beautiful place! I will never forget all the adventures that your Mom and I went on these last several years. I will always cherish all the memories of my best friend. I'm sending prayers up for all of you. If you ever want to share memories contact me. I'm on FB. Sending this with love, your Moms best friend - Heidi Whitson

So sorry girls, Kay was a good lady. We would get off the bus and walk home through the country, so we could get home faster. We probably didn’t get home any sooner. You will miss her, way to young.

My heart breaks for both of you. I didn't even know Kay's health had worsened. They are all gone now, but in a better place where there is peace and love and a reunion of spirits. I will keep you in my heart and prayers. I am here any time if you ever want to reach out. My support and sense of family has always been unwavering. Family is everything to me. My condolences and wishes for strength as you all face the next days of mourning. I love you Christi and Carla. You are forever my nieces and part of my heart. Hugs and love to you both.

Christie, Carla and Families, My heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your dear mom. I'll always remember Aunt Kay having a heart of gold and being kind not only to other people, but to animals too. Most people likely saw her naturally quiet manner, but those who were lucky enough to see her fun-loving side will never forget her smile and laughter. I imagine there will be a lot of that now that she and her siblings are together again.
