Marjorie Mae McKinney, also known as Marge, peacefully passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 93 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on June 1, 1930, in Perry, Iowa, to her parents Vernon Moss and Mable (Christian) Moss.
Marge was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Marge is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Dave) Hodge of Rogersville, Missouri, and Peggy (John) Burkhead of Des Moines, Iowa. She was a loving grandmother to Nathan Davis, Corey Davis, Shannon Baxter, Ryan Peters, Jeremy Hodge, Jenny Hodge, and Chris Ramsey. Marge was blessed with many precious great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Charles Elbert Peters, her son Charlie Peters, and her second husband Robert McKinney.
Marge found solace and strength in her faith in the Lord. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Billings and cherished her time spent there and the community she found within the church.
In her free time, Marge was an avid reader. She found great joy and inspiration in the pages of books, expanding her knowledge and imagination.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Marge on October 14th at the First Baptist Church of Billings, Missouri at 406 NE Pine St. The time of the service is pending.
In lieu of flowers, Marjorie requested that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to First Baptist Church of Billings. Gifts given in her honor will support the ongoing mission and ministry of the church.
