Marmon Grover passed away on March 3, 2016 at the age of 84. He was born on October 4, 1931 in Ash Grove, MO. He attended Springfield High school. He served on the Springfield Police force for over 33 years. Marmon also served in the Korean War in the Army.
Marmon was security detail for Kathleen Turner, Rosalynn Carter and former President Ronald Reagan to name a few. After retiring from Springfield PD he worked private security for Cox Hospital and many local businesses.
Marmon was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dawna Mae Grover. He is survived by his daughter Judy Clements (Doug)son Bill Grover (Jaima) Jason Grover (Diana), granddaughter, Abbey Fulong (Dave), Olivia, Sophia Grover and Kinsey Keeling and a brother, Mervyn Grover and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service for Marmon will be March 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with visitation on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm.
