Mary Della (Wilson) Garrett Choate, age 73, of Bolivar, MO, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, in her home. She was born August 19, 1942, in Bolivar, MO, to Virgil and Marion (Hambilton) Wilson. She was united in marriage to Dave Choate November 17, 1991. She enjoyed playing bingo and was well known there as “Bingo Mary”, and sitting on her front porch. She didn’t know a stranger. She was loved and will never be forgotten. Mary loved her family especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Wayne and Mark Garrett; and two sisters: Ada Mank, and Corky Simmons.
She is survived by her husband Dave Choate of the home; five children: Joyce Garrett of Bolivar, MO, Robin Garrett of Willard, MO, Mike Garrett of Bolivar, MO, David Choate and wife Shelly of Bolivar, MO, and Darla Garrett of FL; seven grandchildren: Melissa Craigmyle, Tyler Garrett, Lily Sneed, Gabby Choate, Gracen McBride, Lilly Carter, and Alec Choate; Five great grandchildren: Anice Farmer, Kimmy Farmer, Kristoffer James, Kyle James, and Kaleb Farmer; one great great granddaughter Paisley Bryant; four siblings: Shirley Harris and husband Elwayne, Tammy Swigert and husband Lonnie, Tom Wilson and wife Becky, and Bub Wilson and wife Penny; two sister in-laws: Barbara Sanders, and Ruth Prince; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM, at Mt. Olive Cemetery Bolivar, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
