Mary McWilliams, 85, of Branson, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2015.
When she was young, she married her junior high school sweetheart, Charles Jerry McWilliams. Together, they led an exciting life that included go-cart racing, traveling the country, and owning a golf course.
She is survived by her two children, a son, Skyler and wife Anita, and four step grand-daughters, Christy Williams, Jamie Shires, Dustie Shires, and Mandy Bell. A daughter, Heather Burch and husband John, and two grandsons, Jacob Burch and Isaac Burch. She also leaves behind a large extended family. Mary made giving to others a lifestyle and all who knew her were touched by her generosity. Until a few weeks ago, she continued to volunteer at the Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society Thrift Store, a place she loved.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, Missouri with a visitation open to all on Friday evening, September 11, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
