Mary Lou McGeehee passed away on February 8, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on November 11, 1935 in Polk County, Missouri to Owen and Mary Kirby.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Jerry McGeehee, as well as her infant daughter, Sherry, and sons Michael and Douglas. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Hammond (John) of Winter Park, FL and step-son Scott McGeehee (Anita) of Nashville, TN.
Mary Lou has 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, as well as a wonderful group of neighbors and friends. She worked at General Electric for 35 years and continued to be involved with retirement groups and former colleagues.
Mary Lou is a member of Antioch Methodist Church and loved her special Sunday dinners with her church friends…she will be loved and missed by all.
There will be a private ceremony in her honor and memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Institute.

If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, we would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again.
