Mary Marie Lovelady, age 68, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015. She was born in Woodstock, IL on January 7, 1947. She was a true servant in every way. It defined who she was. Whether at work, church, or home she exemplified the heart of a servant, always placing the needs of others above her own. She was a member and deaconess of the Church of God Worldwide Association where she served faithfully for many years. She recently retired from 35 years of service as a Home Health Professional where she cared for so many people, and in return was loved by so many. Above all, the love, service and dedication for her family reflected best the loving selfless servant that she was. Her strength showed through in everything she did, and in many ways she was the rock of the family. She had a love for owls and a passion for cooking for her kids and grandkids. She will forever be cherished and greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held on June 5th at 3 pm. Services will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry. Mary is survived by her four children: Jason Lovelady, Karen Lindseth (spouse Drew and grandchildren Avery, Isaac and Ella), Melody Smith (spouse Brent and grandchildren Zane, Gabriel and Phoenix) and David Lovelady (spouse Jesse and grandchildren Jade, Adam, Luke, Maya, Eli and Caleb), sister: Ella Mae Kirkeeng. (Matthew 25:21 “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You been faithful over little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master’.”)
