Mary Tommie Pering, 96, Springfield, MO. passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 in her home. She was born March 1, 1925, in Springfield, MO. to Oscar Glen and Monta Alice (Crocker) Baker. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Central Christian Church. In her life, Mary was used to traveling, due to her husband’s military career. She loved being a full time mother and spending time with her family.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Lee Pering, her son, Ron, a sister, Betty and a brother, Walter. She is survived by her three Sons: Tom Pering, Scott Pering and his wife, Sandy and Doug Pering, eight grandchildren: Beth, Amy, Teresa, Micah, Corey, Holley, Caleb, and Erin, five great-grandchildren, and one brother: Bob Baker.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Culture Club, an after school program at Central Christian Church.
