Matthew Allen Stock, 30, left this earth on Nov. 16, 2023. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Anita Stock; and Charles and Betty Wilson; and his favorite Aunts, Billie Stock and Linda Stock.
Matt was loved by many, he had no enemies. If you knew Matt, you knew his smile was a mile-wide. You also knew his charisma was like no other, always smiling, laughing, and cracking a joke. He continually tried to lift people up and look towards the positive. He had a rough year in 2015 with many challenges, but it was particularly hard when he lost his Aunt Billie. Even during that terrible time, he posted “It’s been an up, down and all around kind of year! But when you don’t know what to do just roll on and you’ll come up on top eventually.” That was Matt, always looking up. Not only did he not let life beat him down, if you were fortunate enough to know him, he wouldn’t let it beat you down either.
Matt was definitely a momma’s boy, he loved every minute of it and so did his momma. He would call or text often, saying “Hey pretty lady, how are you today?”. In his younger years, he spent a lot of time in the woods with his dad, searching for that monster buck on the farm of family friends. It was during these special times that Matt and his dad formed a special bond. Matt’s life-long best friend was his sister, Kayla, who he loved deeply and fiercely. But his love for his nephew, Dakota, was simply out of this world. He often said his favorite times were the times he got to spend with Dakota.
While we are all so sad Matt is gone, remember to smile, keep looking up and lift up those around you. This is how we can truly honor Matt’s memory.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Patrick and Robyn Stock; sister, Kayla; nephews Dakota and Corey; niece Kara, as well as a host of uncles , aunts, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Matt will take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri. A Celebration of Life Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Springfield, Missouri.
