Max Allen Scherner, 62, of Springfield Mo. passed away June 10, 2016 in his home.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn North Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the funeral service starting at 7:00 pm. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Springfield.
Max was born March 4, 1954 in Springfield, Mo. to Harry C. Scherner and Clare Jean (Low) Scherner. Max attended Parkview High School graduating in 1972.
Max worked as a maintenance engineer for many years. He attended South Haven Baptist Church and enjoyed attending many church activities where he became acquainted with some closest friends. Max loved his family dearly including his childhood friend Brant Scheid.
Max was a kind, caring, and loving person who always had a positive outlook on life. He was an avid sports fan and could rattle off sports statistics like no other. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and his very special neighbors.
Max is preceded in death by his mother Clare Jean Scherner. Max is survived by his father Harry C. Scherner of Springfield, sister Melinda (Scherner) Wilson and husband Ken of Willard and sister Juli (Scherner) Russell of Highlandville, three nieces and one nephew. Along with Aunts, Uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to South Haven Baptist Church.
