Sweet man! Didn’t know Merle and Deb for very long, met them, was blessed by them because He and Deb both did what the Bible says to do.

I am sorry for your loss. I attended BT with Merle and Norma for many years. I also frequented the dry cleaners before they retired. I still have a needle point piece Norma gave me, hanging on my wall. Thought so much of both of them. I left Springfield many years ago so hadn’t seen for a Long time. Prayers for you all.
Penny Andersen left a message on September 6, 2025:
Merle was my favorite uncle! He was 14 when I was born (he turned 15 the next month), so I have known and loved him for a very long time. He was my Mom Arcele's youngest brother. He was a kind and thoughtful man. I will miss him! My prayers, love and hugs go out to the Carpenter family! RIP, Uncle Merle! 🙏❤️😘🙏

Juanita , I have many memories of your dad, but my favorite is him sitting at our kitchen table with my parents, drinking coffee and laughing. They were good friends and I know they will miss those special times.
