Mildred Louise Gilbertson 91, went home to heaven on April 19, 2015.
Born Mildred Louise Murrell on December 6, 1923 in Springfield, Missouri; she lived much of her life in Springfield, attending Bailey, Pipkin Junior High, and Central High School.
In November of 1942 she ran away from home to marry her one true love and best friend, Gordon Gilbertson, they were married on November 21, 1942 in Minnesota.
Mildred is survived by daughter, Debbie; Sister Marge Anderson; Grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Michael; Steve and his wife Autumn; Great Grandchildren, McKayla Louise, Brennan, Kylie, and Austin; Nephews, Torger Anderson and Peter Anderson.
Mildred was proceeded in death by her husband Gordon, Brother Lester “Junior”, and Granddaughter Courtney.
Mildred was an amazing spirit who loved the lord and blessed the lives of those she touched. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a teacher at heart always teaching those around her, whether it was how to sew, read, or play games. She loved to tell stories of her childhood, listen to music on her record player, watch old movies and read. She will be missed dearly by all that know and love her.
Mildred will be laid to rest during a private graveside memorial on Monday, April 27, 2015.
