Mildred “Millie” Mary Nunn, 82 of Springfield, MO., passed away on October 8, 2016 at Mercy Villa. She was born to Louis and Rosemary (Geske) Marinhagen on May 18, 1934 in Beverly, KS. Millie graduated from Beverly High School in 1952, and went on to work for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Millie married Bill Joe Nunn on October 21, 1956, and they spent 37 wonderful years together. Millie was known for her love of her family, and a love of ice cream.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Rosemary Marinhagen, her spouse Bill Joe Nunn, and a sibling, Everitt Marinhagen.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses: Lisa (Jay) Guffey and Lori (Frank) Snelson. Grandchildren: Elyse (Jordan) Nimmo and Elayne Guffey. Sisters: Dorothy Chapman, and Viola Taylor, Sister- in- law, Tawanda Nunn, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 5 pm at Mercy Villa Chapel on Thursday, October 13, 2016 with a funeral service immediately following at 5:00 pm. Graveside services will be on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Gypsum Hill Cemetery in Salina, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Millie’s name to Mercy Villa, 1100 East Montclair Ave, Springfield MO 65804.
