Mildred Aileen (Buckley) Overstreet, 90, of Ash Grove, passed from this life on February 24, 2015. She was born in Berenda, CA, and shared 61 years with her husband Carl Overstreet until his passing in 2008. She often spoke about Carl to family and staff at the Ash Grove Healthcare Facility. She is survived by her son Robert; daughter Carleen Morris (husband Jeff); grandsons Philip (wife Kim) and Kevin Overstreet, Jacob and Matthew Morris; granddaughters Jessica Maples (husband Drew) and Megan Overstreet; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mildred was a faithful Christian. She attended Pepperdine Christian University in California and pursued additional training to become a dental assistant. She worked for Dr. H.F. Anderson, an oral surgeon in Fresno, CA, prior to her marriage to Carl, and steadfastly worked alongside him on their farm in California and later on their beef cattle farm near Walnut Grove.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at the Jackson Street Church of Christ, Willard, with visitation at 12 noon, followed by 1 p.m. service. Memorial donations may be given to Fair Haven Children’s Home, Strafford.
