Myron James “Jim” Curtis of Branson, MO went to be with our Heavenly Father on September 4th, 2009 at age 72. Jim was born on September 25, 1936 to Andrew and Phena Curtis in Minnesota. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart LoRita Roquette on December 29, 1956.
Jim lived most of his life as a business man, working for IBM and then owning businesses in the Branson area for many years. He took pride in his businesses, where he spent most of his time. Jim’s passion was his family. Jim enjoyed reading and traveling with his wife. However his greatest joy was to fly. He is preceded in death by his mother and father. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, LoRita Curtis; three sons, Scott Curtis of Galena, Steven Curtis of Branson, and Kevin and Debbie Curtis of Walnut Shade, and a daughter Betty Wilson of Springfield. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; Angela and Matthew Coy, Amber Wilson, Heather, Emily, Scott, Lacie, Dallas, Clayton, and Gage Curtis, two brothers, two sisters, and countless people he considered family members.
Visitation will be Monday, September 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 8th at 10 a.m. also at the Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson. Pastor Brian Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park, Branson MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Compassus of Branson. Jim will be greatly missed by all.
