Nancy J. Burkhart Wilson was born April 9, 1938, in Clinton, Missouri. She passed away November 1, from complications of Alzheimer’s, in her home, where her husband, Carl Alvin Wilson, whom she married December 26, 1975, had taken care of her for the past three years. Nancy was a member of Glenstone Baptist Church, but in recent years had attended National Heights Baptist until failing health prevented it. She was employed at Lily Tulip and later at Commerce Bank as a bookkeeper. Nancy is survived by her husband, Carl; a son, Michael Scott of Nixa; a daughter, Brenda Johnson and husband, Melvin of Arlington, Texas; a brother, Jerald Burkhart and wife, Bonnie of Fremont Hills, Mo.; a sister, Carolyn Ray of Springfield; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Oxford Hospice.
